Is the game going to be pretty long?

The game is made of 8 gigantic islands, floating above an infinite dark sea. Each of these islands will be made of sub levels, with a specific gameplay style, for a total of 66 sublevels. Some are typical adventure levels (exploration, object collection…), some are more action-oriented (shoot & run), some more platforms (some of which with a side-scrolling camera... Still, most levels will feature of mix of gameplay and will provide a lot of character interaction. So we expect a very good gamer to complete the game in 15 to 20 hours, while a "normal” player would easily spend 30 hours on it. Would you say that´s long enough ?

How long have you been working on ET?

Production has started in November 1998. But the concept has been floating in our heads for at least 5 years !

Does Evil Twin have an evolving story line or is it more straight action/platform?

The storyline is one of the key aspects of the game. It will be emphasised by the numerous weird characters you will encounter (80 in the game, 50 of them talking) and the extensive use of engine-based cut scenes (about 1hour ½). It is definitely not a straight action game. And our objective is to stimulate your imagination more than your reflexes.

What inspired the gameplay in ET? Are you going for something completely original?

The gameplay is a mix of Mario, Crash and Zelda. Without breaking new limits in terms of game design, it is stuffed with innovative elements such as the use of 2 alternate characters or the funny upgradable skills (for instance, once you´ve beaten the boss in the "School” island, you will be able to control a paper plane in 1st person view and attack enemies in the distance). For us pleasure of playing comes first compared to the desperate search for innovation. We also have a strong will to tune the difficulty level to perfection, in the line of what was accomplished for Rayman2.
