Goo is a unique genre-boundary destroying arcade strategy game. Inspired by Sun Tzu's Art of War, Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do, and the board game "Go", players do battle with their own amorphous liquid armies; charging, throwing, flanking, slicing, blocking and enveloping with their amoeba-like goo. Controls are designed to be incredibly easy to use, instantly diverse, and have a wonderful sense of immediate kinesthesia. Just one stick, and one trigger unlock a massive range of intuitively accessible emergent strategies, so tactics are as diverse as the player's imagination - bait and ambush, divide and conquer, turn turtle or use hit-and-run guerilla warfare. Every approach is naturally enabled from the complex yet predictable soft body fluid physics: no contrived winning tactics, zero fakery - just pure, internally consistent strategy. With such immediate depth and expression, the goo feels like a natural extension of the player's body. Several game types exist to put a twist on the core goo controls, including single player, co-op, team, and multiplayer modes. Music drives Virtual Light Machine backgrounds, and varied "skins" represent the Goos as anything from Liquid Metal to Swarms of Bees, or from crayon sketches to, erm, other formless lumps of stuff and things.
