Bis Ende Juni 2010 sind über 20 Millionen "Map Packs" zur Call of Duty-Reihe verkauft bzw. vertrieben worden, dies bestätigte Publisher Activision Blizzard nun offiziell. Insgesamt wurden bisher sechs "Map Packs" veröffentlicht: Ein Kartenpaket für Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare , drei für Call of Duty: World at War und zwei für Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 . Allerdings bleibt fraglich, ob die PC-Kartenupdates für Modern Warfare und World at War ausgeschlossen wurden, schließlich sind diese kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt worden.
