Die Mod-Tools (u.a. mit Karten-Editor, Entwicklungsumgebung, etc.) für Civilization V stehen per Steam zur Verfügung und können runtergeladen werden. Hierzu klickt ihr auf "Bibliothek" und dann auf die Unterkategorie "Tools". Dort findet ihr das knapp 65 MB große "Sid Meier's Civilization 5 (ab 35,99€ bei kaufen) SDK". Auch eine Mod-Community-Wiki-Seite wurde eingerichtet.
