LucasArts und Sony Online Entertainment haben soeben Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures als Free-to-Play-Onlinetitel für PC angekündigt. Das Spiel ist an die animierte Serie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" angelehnt und wirkt wie Free Realms mit Laserschwertern, wobei ihr auch auf bekannte Charaktere wie Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda oder Ahsoka Tano treffen könnt. Ansonsten versprechen die Hersteller zahlreiche ins Star Wars-Universum passende Mini-Spiele und allerlei "Social Events". Wie schon bei "Free Realms" wollen die Entwickler großen Wert auf eine "spaßige und sichere Online-Umgebung für Kinder und Familien" legen. Finanziert wird das prinzipiell kostenlose Onlinespiel durch Mikrotransaktionen (Station Cash), also durch den Verkauf von Ingame-Gegenständen (Uniformen, Items, Accessoires, etc.). Bereits im Herbst soll der Startschuss fallen (offizielle Website).

Mini-Games: Feel the power of the Force as you wield your own lightsaber in Lightsaber Dueling. Speed through space in a starfighter as you take down enemy ships. From Speeder Bike racing to Blaster Training, you'll be right in the middle of the action! Challenge your friends and earn cool rewards! There are lots of challenging puzzles and games that test your brain power too, like Droid Programming and Saber Strike. Dive into the adventure  to discover your own destiny!

With Clone Wars Adventures a new generation of Star Wars fans can become the next great hero of the Republic and take their rightful place alongside the Jedi, Padawan and Clone Troopers. Players can speed through space in a starfighter, take out waves of battle droids in Tower Defense or test their brains with challenging Droid Programming puzzles. Players can also purchase legendary Star Wars outfits, items and accessories through micro-transactions using Station Cash, SOE's virtual currency.
