Die rund 500.000 aktiven Spieler (Europa, Japan und Nordamerika) von Final Fantasy XI bekommen bald drei neue Szenario-Erweiterungen von Square Enix spendiert. Alle Add-Ons sollen ausschließlich digital vertrieben werden (PlayOnline Viewer). Den Anfang macht "A Crystalline Prophecy - Ode of Life Bestowing" im Frühjahr 2009. Zum Preissystem wurde bisher nichts offiziell verraten; rund zehn Dollar pro Szenario sind wohl angedacht.
