Worms 3 soll 27 Einzelspieler-Herausforderungen in insgesamt vier Umgebungen bieten. Der Online-Multiplayer-Modus funktioniert asynchron - man kann also mit Unterbrechnungen über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg Partien gegen andere Nutzer Deathmatch oder Fort spielen, ohne in einer Session verweilen zu müssen. Lokal können bis zu vier Teilnehmer an den Start - iPad, iPhone oder iPod Touch werden dann einfach weitergereicht.

Das britische Studio verspricht noch neue Waffen wie Noras Virus oder die Black Hole Grenade, Ranglisten und Achievements.
