Nicht nur die Musik- und Filmwelt startet das neue Jahr mit Auszeichnungs-Zeremonien, auch die Spielebranche hat Preise zu vergeben. Unter anderem stehen in England die BAFTAs an, die von der British Academy of Film and Television Arts seit 1998 auch für besondere Leistung im Bereich interaktiver Unterhaltung vergeben werden. Spiele wurden in 18 Kategorien nominiert, wobei vor allem Batman Arkham City, L.A. Noire und The Elder Scrolls V - Sykrim bedacht wurden. Die Sieger werden am 16. März bekannt gegeben.
