Trotz aller spielerischen Defizite kann man Eidos´ Backyard Wrestling eines nicht absprechen: einen in die Ohren gehenden Soundtrack. Und während der Nachfolger Backyard Wrestling 2: There goes the Neighborhood in punkto Gameplay erst einmal beweisen muss, was in ihm steckt, zeigt die jüngst veröffentlichte Liste der integrierten Musik-Tracks, dass die Akustik in jedem Fall wieder außergewöhnlich sein wird: Über 50 Tracks, die vorrangig aus dem gitarrenorientierten Bereich stammen und von HipHop ergänzt werden, sollen die Hinterhofkämpfe akustisch unterstützen.
