Die PC-Version von Alan Wake (ab 5,25€ bei kaufen) war schon länger in der Schwebe (wir berichteten). Jetzt äußerte sich ein Microsoft-Sprecher gegenüber den Kollegen von Strategy Informer jedoch sehr deutlich und machte klar, dass man keine Pläne mehr habe andere Plattformen als die Xbox 360 zu bedienen.

We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience Alan Wake was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Both Microsoft and Remedy have long histories in PC game development. This decision was about matching this specific game to the right platform.

Für PC-User bleibt jetzt wohl nur noch die Hoffnung, dass Microsoft ähnlich wie Electronic Arts bei Dead Space 2 (wir berichteten) doch nochmals zurückrudert und eine Adaption zumindest weiterhin in Betracht zieht. Die offizielle Produktseite wurde aber bereits vom Netz genommen und auch Remedy weist im offiziellen Forum ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass es im Moment leider keine Pläne gebe Alan Wake auf anderen Plattformen als der Xbox zu veröffentlichen:

If you see retailers selling it for PC, or for PS3 (as I saw in one ad recently), that is false information. At the moment there are unfortunately no plans for releasing on other platforms than Xbox360.
