Wie teuer wird der Revolution sein? Wann kommt er genau? Wie sieht das finale Design aus und was kann der Controller? All diese Fragen will Nintendo erste Ende des Jahres beantworten, wie Reuters meldet. Auf der E3 konnte das Nachrichtenmagazin Präsident Iwata folgende Statements entlocken:

"We plan to give details on when we will launch it, what the price will be, what the controller will look like and how games can be played on it by the end of the year."

Auf die Kritik der Analysten und Presse hinsichtlich der spärlichen Enthüllung angesprochen, meinte Iwata, dass Nintendo der Konkurrenz bewusst nicht alles zeigen wollte.

Man wolle mit dem Revolution all jene ansprechen, die unnötigen Ballast und schwierige Bedienung in Sachen Games und Controller leid sind sowie ganz neue Gamer gewinnen. Außerdem wolle man nicht nur den Freak unterhalten, sondern die ganze Familie:

"Right now, game consoles are important for the game fan, but for the rest of the family, it's just a piece of nuisance that's loud and eats up electricity ... We want to create games for people who haven't played games but are curious about them."
