Mit Monster Hunter Tri (ab 23,14€ bei kaufen) stattete Capcoms Serie vor fast drei Jahren auch der Wii einen Besuch ab. Wer dort noch dieser Tage unterwegs ist und Mönsterlein jagt, sollte sich bald mit dem Gedanken anfreunden, dass man in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft nur noch als Solist unterwegs sein wird. 

Im Rahmen der Bekanntgabe des Releasetermins von Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate teilte Capcom nämlich noch mit , dass man die Server von MH Tri am 30. April vom Netz nehmen wird: "As we usher in the exciting new Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate games, we unfortunately will be transitioning off the Monster Hunter Tri servers for Wii. This won’t happen until April 30, 2013 however, which will be 6 weeks after the launch of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. With the new title, there will be a new place for all of you to gather and hunt online with each other, and we hope you will continue to play together on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate."
