Bei den heutigen Wartungsarbeiten wird der Patch 2.4.0 für World of WarCraft und The Burning Crusade auf die europäischen Realms aufgespielt. Mit dem großen Content-Patch fügt Blizzard die Insel des Sonnenbrunnens mit allerlei Quests und zwei neuen Dungeons (eine fünf Spieler-Instanz und eine 25-Spieler-Schlachtzuginstanz) hinzu. Außerdem werden haufenweise Veränderungen an der Spielmechanik, den Klassen, Items und dem Kampflog vorgenommen (Change-Log).
