Die Red 5 Studios haben die Server von Firefall abgeschaltet. Das Online-Actionspiel (Free-to-play) verließ Ende Juli 2014 die Betaphase, kämpfte Monate und Jahre später aber immer noch mit Bugs und diversen anderen Problemen. Gründe für die Einstellung wurden nicht genannt. Eine Mobile-Umsetzung (Android und iOS) soll noch entwickelt werden.

Das Aus wurde zudem relativ spät kommuniziert. Die Ankündigung erfolgte am 5. Juli. Die Server-Abschaltung am 7. Juli. Bei Steam werden sogar noch kostenpflichtige Inhaltspakete angeboten.

Firefall is currently developing a mobile version of the game and all of Firefall's founders and players will be rewarded greatly in the new game.
