Gepflegtes Gruseln mit Retro-Ambiente: Das ist seit Kurzem in Lone Survivor auf dem PC möglich. Bisher wurde das Spiel in DRM-freier Form von Jasper Byrne selbst angeboten. Den einen oder anderen neuen Käufer dürfte das Survival-Abenteuer jetzt allerdings finden: Neuerdings ist Lone Survivor auch auf Steam verfügbar. Wer bis zum Freitag zuschlägt, erhält einen Preisnachlass in Höhe von 20 Prozent. (Wer direkt beim Entwickler einkauft, profitiert dabei allerdings vom Wechselkurs und gelangt auch ohne Rabatt in ähnliche Regionen.)
Per Blog teilt Byrne mit, er hoffe, auch den bisherigen Kunden einen Steam-Key zukommen zu lassen. Auch müsse er noch ein paar logistische Probleme lösen, um jenen Leuten Zugang zur Version 1.1 des Spiels zu gewähren, welche nicht einfach als Patch bereitgestellt werden kann. Die Steam-Fassung des Spiels sei bereits auf dem neuesten Stand.

And these things are fixed:
Mac black screen issue no longer an issue
Panic attacks disabled in the boss sequence (which could rarely cause a corrupted save)
Fixed bug where it was possible to re-trigger the elevator sequence
Fixed bug with text boxes not reverting to interactive mode on game completion
Fundamental engine changes in cutscene / dialogue handling:
All world and object descriptions now have the player non-interactive
Last-resort freeze check & correct for scripts that don’t return control
Tweaks to the way sprites allow player interaction when simulating hotspots (solves the freezes related to positioning)
Cat / doll / stove / Gamejoy / bucket / hospital door freezes fixed by the above methods
Rare slowdown issue fixed (related to AIR system chrome setting, now disabled)
