Wie Sega und Creative Assembly heute verkünden, hat Total War: Rome 2 (ab 18,94€ bei kaufen) jetzt einen offiziellen Releasetermin: Der jüngste Ableger der Serie soll weltweit am 3. September in den Handel kommen und auf diversen Download-Plattformen erscheinen.

Der Publisher teilt außerdem mit: Wer den Titel vorbestellt, bekommt das erste DLC-Paket als Dreingabe pünktlich zum Release. Das Greek States Cultures Pack (siehe Trailer unten) wartet mit drei spielbaren Fraktionen (Epirus, Athen sowie Sparta) auf.

Auch kündigte man eine individuell numerierte Collector's Edition an, von der exakt 20.000 Stück produziert werden. In Deutschland wird die Sonderausgabe wohl nur über Amazon erhältlich sein. Sega selbst nennt keinen Preis, beim britischen Partner GAME kostet das Ganze aber 110 Pfund . Dafür bekommt man neben dem eigentlich Spiel noch:

Roman Onager :  A complete, fully-functional Onager, or Roman siege catapult. This easy-to-assemble kit is constructed from weathered wood and steel, measures 26cm x 12cm x 12cm, and is capable of unleashing small projectiles at a variety of inanimate objects which may have affronted the glory of your empire.
