Die Beta-Version des Updates "The Antiquarian" (Build #13850) für Darkest Dungeon (ab 21,99€ bei kaufen) wird gerade bei Steam getestet (Beta-Anleitung ). Mit dem Update kommt die neue Klasse "Antiquar" (Antiquitätensammler) ins Spiel, die nicht gerade stark im Kampf sein soll, jedoch andere Vorteile mit sich bringen wird. Die Antiquarin hat nach Kämpfen oder beim Öffnen von Schatzkisten eine Chance, zusätzliche Antiquitäten zu erhalten, die gewinnbringend verkauft werden können. Abgesehen von Skills rund um das eigene Überleben sollen sich nützliche Kombinationen mit anderen Klassen ergeben. Darüber hinaus wird man (nach einem Stage-Coach-Upgrade) hochstufigere Helden rekrutieren können.

Die Linux-Version des Spiels soll später im März veröffentlicht werden. Die "Town Events" werden sich hingegen noch etwas verzögern, aber von der zusätzlichen Entwicklungszeit profitieren. Die Umsetzungen für PlayStation 4 und PS Vita sollen Ende Frühjahr bzw. Anfang Sommer startklar sein.

The Antiquarian Update - Build #13843 (Patch-Notes ):

• New Class: Antiquarian!
• New Stage Coach upgrade tree: higher level heroes to recruit!
• Quest Rewards: Heirloom type is no longer tied to each region. Instead, a random heirloom reward is generated for each individual quest.
• Heirloom Exchange: trade heirlooms in town! You lose a little in each trade, but this is a quick fix to get that upgrade you really need.
• Trophy Trinkets now find their way back to the hamlet after losing one. This means also means Trophy Trinkets will now reward retroactively.
