dazu bedarf es keines hohen akademischen grades, um das fest stellen zu können. bei old republic gehe ich aber ganz ehrlich gesagt auch vom besten mmo aus, das je gemacht wurde aus (klasisches wow + starwars bonus.. natürlich is es nur 1 von vielen aber du verstehst sicher die anspielung).. nur mein problem nach aktuellen stand is die begrenzung der spielewelt, die einem vorgaukelt frei zu sein.. (in wow kann man ja jederzeit die welt frei bereisen.. wenn man es schafft sich an den gegnern vorbeizuschleichen, gibt es gar keine grenzen) bei old republik hat man vorgefertigte wege, ähnlich wie in dragon age und ich glaube kaum, das die so n major-gamedesign-element gravierend verändern werden..Boesor hat geschrieben:Setz mich an WOW und ich sag dir, dass das der letzte rotz ist...

Electronic Arts: PopCap geschluckt
Vor Kurzem bereits hatte es Berichte gegeben, dass PopCap den zuletzt für Ende 2011 angepeilten Börsengang nicht mehr vollziehen wird aufgrund der Übernahme durch ein anderes Unternehmen. Einer der von der Gerüchteküche ins Spiel gebrachten Kandidaten: Electronic Arts.
Per Pressemitteilung bestätigte der Publisher heute den Zukauf, den man sich insgesamt 750 Mio. Dollar kosten lässt. Sollten bestimmte Umsatzziele erreicht werden, könnten die bisherigen Gesellschafter außerdem bis zu 550 Mio. Dollar an Boni kassieren. Letzterer Betrag wird fällig, falls PopCap 2012 und 2013 insgesamt über 343 Mio. Dollar an Umsatz generieren sollte.
PopCap passe bestens zur Digital-Strategie des Hersteller, lässt John Riccitiello da über das Studio verlauten, das Hits wie Bejeweled, Zuma, Peggle und natürlich Plants vs. Zombies im Programm hat.
