Q-Games hat mit PixelJunk Inc. einen neuen Titel aus der bekannten Serie angekündigt, der nicht nur im PlayStation Network veröffentlicht werden soll, sondern auch auf PC (Steam). Mac- und Linux-Fassungen sind ebenfalls angedacht. Auch eine Optimierung für den Xbox 360-Controller ist geplant.

Das Spiel wird als Genre-Mix beschrieben, der Open-World-Multiplayer-Plattformer (wie Terraria), Tower Defense-Titel und Echtzeit-Strategiespiele irgendwie vereinen soll. Weitere Inspirationsquellen waren Minecraft und Spelunky.
