In Japan und in Korea gibt es mit dem 27. September bereits ein Veröffentlichungsdatum. Entwickelt wird das Spiel von den Artisan Studios aus Quebec, welche die Charaktere aus der Neptunia-Reihe in ein seitlich scrollendes Rollenspiel voller Dungeons versetzen. Die Zeichnungen kommen von Designer Tsunako und werden danach vom Computer animiert.
