Obwohl das Superhelden-MMO irgendwann Anfang 2011 in eine Free2Play-Version umgewandelt wird, haben die Cryptic Studios jetzt ein rund 300 Dollar teures Lifetime-Abo-Angebot geschnürt, das für diese prinzipiell kostenlose Version gelten soll. Denn trotz der Free2Play-Umstellung wird es weiterhin "Premium-Inhalte" geben, die kostenpflichtig sein werden, u.a. die Gold-Mitgliedschaft, die 15 Dollar pro Monat kosten wird und Zugriff auf die "meisten" Inhalte gewährt. Free2Play-Nutzer werden also auf diverse Features verzichten müssen (siehe unten).

Wer sich dann für ein Lifetime-Abo entscheidet, wird automatisch und dauerhaft "Goldmitglied", sobald die Umstellung des Finanzierungsmodells erfolgt ist.
