Auf der Game Developers Conference werden traditionell die IGF und Game Developers Choice Awards verliehen. Nachdem die Organisatoren vor ein Tagen schon mitteilten, dass Gabe Newell mit einem Pioneer Award geehrt werden wird, verkündete man heute, welche Spiele sich in welchen Kategorien Hoffnungen auf einen Preis machen können.

Als großer Favorit des Abends geht Uncharted 2: Among Thieves mit insgesamt sieben Nominierungen ins Rennen, gefolgt von einem weiteren PS3-Titel, der fünf Mal im Start ist: Flower. Assassin's Creed II ist immerhin in vier Kategorien vertreten. Mehrfach nominiert sind auch Titel wie Demon's Souls , Batman: Arkham Asylum und  Plants vs. Zombies.

Die Preisverleihung findet am 11. März statt.
