Auch der Betatest von Torment: Tides of Numenera wird nicht mehr in diesem Jahr starten. Obwohl die Entwicklung laut Chris Keenan (Projektleiter) ziemlich zügig voran geht, wird die Betaphase erst "Anfang 2016" beginnen. inXile entertainment möchte noch die letzten Probleme aus der Welt schaffen und etwas mehr Zeit ins Feintuning investieren. Im Vergleich zum "Alpha Systems Tests", der nur knapp 20 Minuten Spielzeit bot, soll die Betaversion mehr als zehn Stunden dauern (bei normalem Spieltempo). Im Verlauf der Beta wird man in "Sagus Cliffs" u.a. auf die Fraktion "the Order of Truth" treffen, deren Hauptquartier auf dem folgenden Screenshot zu sehen ist. Wenn alles nach Plan läuft, soll das Rollenspiel im kommenden Jahr erscheinen. Details zu den "Backer NPCs" findet ihr außerdem im entsprechenden Kickstarter-Update.
