Das schwedische Studio YCJY hat The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human auf GOG und Steam sowie einen dazugehörigen Trailer und Screenshots veröffentlicht. Als erzählerische Inspiration diente den Entwicklern Der Planet der Affen, spielerisches Vorbild war Super Metroid, denn wenn ein ehemals von der Erde entsandtes Schiff nach hunderttausenden von Jahren an seinen Ursprung zurückkehrt, gibt es offenbar keine Menschen mehr. Das Schiff mit der Bezeichnung Argo9 erkundet daher die Ruinen menschlicher Zivilisation, um herauszufinden, was geschehen ist.

Ist "Metroid-vania" jetzt auf dem Weg, das neue Rogue-like zu werden, indem man die Definition bis zur Homöopathie verwässert?
Oder bin ich einer der Wenigen, die erst einmal an Delfine und dann immer noch nicht an 2D Platformer gedacht haben?
(Habe die Steam Greenlight Seite des Spiels überflogen...)
PS: Kurz mal eben nach Videos gesucht, nah, sieht nicht so nach meinem Spiel aus. Nicht nur, weil ich unterstelle, dass man sich bei der Pixelart etwas verrannt hat (habe es schwer, da zu erkennen, was was sein soll, was wohl AUCH der Idee "Unterwasser" geschuldet ist), sondern auch weil ich fürchte, dass das Gameplay nicht mit meinem Geschmack übereinstimmt.

Finde es auch sehr anstrengend dem Film zu folgen. Klang zunächst erst interessant, aber ein "Uboot" steuern inkl. der doch recht grausigen Pixelgrafik (das können andere viel besser!). Nein.
Da warte ich lieber auf Slain, das hat deutlich mehr hergemacht.
