Koei Tecmo hat das Introvideo von Dynasty Warriors 9 veröffentlicht (siehe unten) sowie erste Angaben zu den Inhalten des Season Pass' gemacht. Der soll laut Gematsu 3.000 Yen (ca. 22 Euro) kosten und Zugriff auf folgende Inhalte erlauben:

• NPCs Xiahouji, Dong Bai, Hua Xiong, and Yuan Shu made playable
• Additional scenarios, events, and actions for each officer

Der Startschuss für die fernöstlichen Massenschlachten wird hierzulande am 13. Februar 2018 auf PlayStation 4, Xbox One und PC (Steam) fallen.
