Beta-Patch für Battlefield 2142 auf Version 1.50 mit den neuen Karten "Wake Island 2142" und "Operation Shingle". Außerdem gibt es eine "keine Fahrzeuge"-Option für einige Maps und 16:9- sowie 16:10-Auflösungen werden fortan unterstützt.

Battlefield 2142 Version 1.4.0 muss bereits installiert sein.

A Beta version of update 1.50 for Battlefield 2142 is being made publicly available. If you'd like to provide feedback and help ensure the best possible release for the final version of the update, then keep reading for details on how to participate.

Changes and Features in 1.50
The details of the new features and fixes included on the 1.5 beta update are listed below:

FIXES
-- Fixed the loading issue caused by corrupt Radial.cdb file
-- Further improvements to server stability.

FEATURES
-- Added the ability to use widescreen resolutions. We have seen a massive demand for widescreen resolutions in Battlefield 2142. This feature is still in a Beta state for your use and is not yet fully supported.
-- Added No Vehicles option.
-- Changed the volume control for the Commander Voice Over. In the sound options page the Help Voice Over volume slider has been renamed to Voice Over and now controls the volume for both the in-game help and the Commander Voice Over.
-- Added community maps, Wake Island 2142 and Operation Shingle.

Please note that during the Beta, stats earned on these maps will not count towards your overall statistics, rank, and badges/ribbons/medals.

GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
-- Changes made to pod steering mechanism to improve control while limiting pod surfing.
-- Various changes made to prevent cheating.

Installing and Accessing the Beta

Please note, that updating to the Beta version will mean that you can only access Beta servers that are being hosted by our RSPs (you can not play on regular servers whilst you have the Beta update installed).

New Widescreen Options
Whilst Battlefield 2142 Update 1.50 adds widescreen functionality, it is not available by default. Widescreen is currently a Beta feature and has some minor graphical issues regarding the weapons ingame, however these do not affect gameplay.

By activating widescreen options, you must accept there will be some minor graphical issues in your game due to it being the Beta version of the feature. Please do not report this as a bug. Remember, also, that this option is added by the Beta; if you revert to the current release version these options will not longer be available.
