Die Annual Interactive Achievement Awards (IAAs) sind mittlerweile zum 15. Mal verliehen worden. Der große Gewinner der Verleihung war The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Das Rollenspiel von Bethesda Softworks sahnte fünf Auszeichnungen ab, darunter "Spiel des Jahres", "Bestes Rollenspiel", "Outstanding Achievement in Gameplay Engineering", "Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction" und "Outstanding Achievement in Story".

Die Kategorien "Outstanding Achievement in Animation", "Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction" und "Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering" konnte sich Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception sichern, während Portal 2 für Musik, Charakter-Design (Wheatley) und "Outstanding Achievement in Connectivity" ausgezeichnet wurde. Neben Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 als Actionspiel des Jahres, Forza Motorsport 4 als Rennspiel des Jahres und Batman: Arkham City als Action-Adventure des Jahres wurde Bastion als Download-Spiel des Jahres und Orcs Must Die! als Strategiespiel/Simulation des Jahres prämiert.
