Am Dienstag erscheint The Witcher 2 offiziell im Handel - ein Rollenspiel, auf das sich Fans weltweit freuen. Kann es das bisher angedeutete Potenzial, das im Einstieg aufblitzte, über die gesamte Spielzeit halten? Wie lang und offen ist das Abenteuer eigentlich? Mittlerweile haben wir sehr viele Anfragen bekommen, wann denn endlich unser Test erscheint.

Wir hätten euch gerne schon vor dem Wochenende oder spätestens am Montag den Test angeboten, aber die Entwickler haben aktuell technische Probleme mit der Freischaltung der bereits ausgelieferten Reviewfassung. Wir warten seit Freitag darauf, dass wir nach der Installation endlich loslegen können, um euch so früh wie möglich einen Test anbieten zu können - noch konnten wir keine Minute in der finalen Version verbringen. Wenn das Rollenspiel tatsächlich 40 Stunden beinhaltet, dürfte eine Einschätzung erste Mitte bis Ende der nächsten Woche möglich sein.

Our team has worked hard to deliver to you everything you needed to play The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings during the weekend before the release. Unfortunately, we have faced unexpected technical difficulties which will take some time to overcome. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

We are fully aware of how tight your deadlines are, and we can promise we will do our best to solve this as soon as it is possible. We’d also like to assure you that you will still be one of the first in the world to be able to run the game. As for now, we can guarantee you that it will be possible to activate and play the game no later than Sunday, midnight GMT. There is a chance that you will be able to start playing earlier, and if so you’ll be the first ones to know.

Once you run the game, we hope you'll find that it was worth the wait.
