Mojang, die Macher von Minecraft, haben die Arbeit an dem neuen Projekt 0x10c eingestellt. Chefentwickler Markus "Notch" Persson würde an einer kreativen Blockade leiden und deswegen erstmal die Finger vom Spiel lassen, heißt es in einem Interview bei Polygon . Laut "Notch" soll der Druck, der auf ihm laste, aber nicht der Grund für die Lage sein - schließlich hatte das Unternehmen mit Minecraft großen Erfolg.

Markus Persson sagte zum Status: "Wir haben aktuell zwei Prototypen. Noch machen sie keinen Spaß, weil es dort noch nichts zu tun gibt, aber sie fühlen sich so an, als könnten sie durchaus Spaß machen."

"It depends if it's just going to be me and I'm going to still feel this kind of weird pressure," he said. "It's not really pressure, it's just some kind of weird creative block that's been going on for too long, and [0x10c] is going to be put on ice until we can fix that. I'm very excited about the actual game. We have two prototypes going on now. It's not really fun yet, but it feels like it could be fun because there's nothing to do in there yet." (Polygon )
