Bessere Performance und Grafikqualität: PC-Patch fügt DirectX-12-Unterstützung hinzu
Für die PC-Version von Rise of the Tomb Raider (ab 13,63€ bei kaufen) kann der fünfte Patch auf Version 1.0.638.6 runtergeladen werden. Der Patch fügt DirectX-12-Unterstützung hinzu. Dadurch soll sich sowohl die Performance als auch die Grafikqualität verbessern - natürlich abhängig vom Computersystem. Im Blog geben die Entwickler ein Beispiel : Die gleiche Passage aus dem Spiel würde auf einem PC (Intel i7-2600 CPU, 1333 MHz Speichertakt, GTX 970; hohe Grafikdetails) mit DirectX 11 mit 46 Bildern pro Sekunde laufen. Mit DirectX 12 soll das gleiche System 60 Bilder pro Sekunde schaffen.
