The new tracks

The Aston race track has the most configurations. It has short, narrow club tracks, the slightly longer National version up to the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Historic versions. Due to this many configurations, it is suitable for all car classes and the longest versions will definitely be used for some long distances races.

Westhill:

This is also a very fast race track with many mid-speed curves and high speed turns. The constant up and down gives you the feeling of a rollercoaster. Westhill has one configuration only which can be driven backward of course. Westhill has a very well thought layout and gives a very mature impression. This will certainly be some racers’ favourite track.

Kyoto Ring:

Kyoto Ring, located somewhere in the Far East, has the longest configuration in S2. It has 8.8km and it is predestined for long distance and 24 hour races. Beside this long configuration, you can find the Kyoto oval track on which you can do slipstream races with your fellow racers. In addition, there is an in-field track which resembles Indianapolis from the F1 calendar.

Fern Bay (S1):

Fern Bay, which is the already known beach track from S1, has been adjusted to the cars available in S1. Here you can find narrow hairpin curves and chicanes and at most mid-speed passages. The new LX8 GTR or the not yet known faster formula car will not get to their limits on this track, because Fern Bay is too slow. It has some Rally Cross configurations as well.

South City (S1):

Up to now, the only city track in LFS. City races are something special already, let alone racing between buildings with even faster formula cars. Beside the most driven configuration in S1, "Classic”, you can find two more short tracks and a long track which is 6km long and located on a British island, "City Long”.

Blackwood (S1, Demo):

Old stagers know this track like the back of their hands. It is this track that has been in LFS since the very first demo version and which is still used to attract new racers in the current demo version. Blackwood is a pure race track which has a long straight, but it is made for the slower cars because of its curve passages. It has a Rally Cross configuration as well.

Auto Cross, Skid pad and Drag strip:

Along with the normal race tracks, there are further possibilities to show your driving skills. On a big parking lot, you can build your own Auto Cross track with tyres, boards, pylons and many other obstacles. The editor, along with the MRT5 and the MRT6, makes a good combination for Auto Cross simulations.
The skid pad is a round square with marks where the hobby racer can test his car and determine the highest curve speed possible. The Drag strip is a quarter mile where you can do drag races with up to eight players at the same time.
