In Großbritannien wurden gestern die Gewinner der diesjährigen Golden Joystick Awards bekannt gegeben. Dabei gaben über 200.000 User ihre Stimme für die beste Soft- und Hardware des letzten Jahres (14.11.03 - 28.10.04) ab. Activisions Doom 3 war das einzige Spiel, das mit zwei Awards geehrt wurde, darunter auch die Auszeichnung für das Spiel des Jahres. Auf Publisher-Seite konnten Electronic Arts und Nintendo die meisten Awards abräumen (jeweils drei Stück). Neuster Zugang in die Hall of Fame war dieses Jahr Warren Spector.
